I was born to Christian parents. This means that both my mom and my dad had confessed their sins and asked Jesus to save them.
From as early as I can remember, my parents had told me about Jesus and my need to be saved. Every Sunday, without fail, they would take me to church where my Sunday School Teacher, Mrs. Penney, would tell us about Jesus. By the time I was six years old, the Holy Spirit began speaking to my heart about how I needed to understand more about what I was hearing and about my own need to accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour.
I can clearly recall one Sunday Evening during craft time in Kids Church, praying in my heart that Jesus would help me truly understand what it meant to be saved. Once Kid’s Church was over, the class was brought up a little bit too early and Pastor Scott was still preaching. Pastor was explaining how to get saved and I finally understood. That very night, when I was in bed, I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive my sins and come into my heart.
The next day, while driving in the car, I told my father about the decision I had made. He couldn’t wait to get home to tell my mom and the rest of our family.
I have never regretted my decision to get saved and I intend to serve the Lord with the rest of my life, and tell others about Jesus and their need of His salvation.
